Saving Neemo
After an isolated exploit of Neemo Finance placed its dApp Staking funds at risk, Astar dApp Staking has been placed into maintenance mode. Astar Referendum 27 proposes that the Astar Treasury withdraw and take custody of ~26.78M ASTR unlocked from Neemo’s dApp staking wallet and take ownership of the Neemo dApp. After the execution of this safeguarding solution, which was requested by Neemo Finance, maintenance mode will be disabled and dApp Staking operations will resume.
Choose Your JAM Adventure
The Web3 Foundation has updated the JAM Implementers Prize to include three streams. The Validating Node Path offers a maximum prize of 500,000 DOT + 5,000 KSM for a complete implementation of JAM with full validation, block-authoring, and performant PVM. Non-PVM Validating Node Path offers 350,000 DOT and 3,500 KSM. It allows the addition of a third-party PVM implementation to meet performance requirements. Up to 250,000 DOT and 2,500 KSM is offered in the Light Node Path for the creation of a light-weight JAM node, and does not require block-authoring ability.
WETH Dries Off After an Extended Dip in the Omnipool
In preparation for its the removal from the Omnipool, Hydration Referendum 118 proposes to withdraw approximately $732K of WETH (MRL) Treasury LP. In the future a WETH/ETH stablepool will be created to enable low slippage swaps to native ETH and maintain WETH as a viable on/off ramp.
